After receiving further guidance from Governor Abbott and Commissioner Morath, an in-person graduation can occur no sooner than May 29th. Only counties with less than 5 confirmed COVID-19 cases are permitted to have graduation prior to May 29th. This message is to confirm that Graduation will take place on May 29th at 8pm in Wildcat Stadium. I will soon meet with the Senior officers and highest ranking students to finalize details. Please understand that social distancing will be enforced and we will have to limit guests per graduate in order to comply with TEA regulations to hold an in-person graduation. We will live stream the ceremony for those that are not present. I will communicate details once they are finalized. I understand this is not ideal and may not be what everyone prefers, but this is the reality we are living in currently and this is the best we are allowed to do. This night is about the Senior Class of 2020 and celebrating this major accomplishment. I am thankful we get to have what they wanted - an in-person graduation with family members in the stands. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this trying time.
