Dear Parents,

                To help you prepare and plan for the end of school, we are sending you information concerning our end of year assemblies and celebrations.   We look forward to many of you attending.   Your child should bring home an award note letting you know that he may be receiving one.

The following is our schedule:

                Monday, May 24—Our sixth grade goes skating, and lunch is provided.   Due to skating rink and school insurance concerns, only Kirbyville Elementary 6 th graders are allowed to participate.

                Tuesday, May 25—Assemblies will be held for grades 1 through 5 to present honor roll, P.E., perfect attendance, and good citizen certificates. The schedule is:

•  8:30 am          1 st grade

•  9:30 am          2 nd /3 rd grades

•  2 pm                4 th /5 th grades

Wednesday, May 26

•  End of year picnics for PK through 5 th grades.   Students need to bring a sack lunch.

•  6 th graders practice graduation at 8:30 am, and awards for 6 th will be presented

•  School is out at 1 pm

Thursday, May 27

•  We graduate Kindergarten at 8:30 am

•  We graduate 6 th grade at 10:30 am

•  Report cards for other grades will be released at 9 am to students.   Parents may pick children up after this time.

•  School is out at 1 pm

Additional Info:

•  Bumper stickers for honor roll are available on the edge of the stage—grandparents and parents.

•  Annuals available in the office for $19

•  Summer school will run from June 1-25.   Registration deadline is May 27.   Free meals will be served to all children from 1-18 daily—breakfast (7:30-8:30) and lunch (11-12).

•  Please check the lost and found for jackets or personal items your child may have misplaced.

•  See you back on August 23—the first day of the 2010-2011 school year.
